With centuries-old Transylvanian ancestry in high-level legal, banking, academic, political and public service, Amala puts herself in the service of others with the same dedication and ability as her fore-bearer, diplomat, lawyer, member of parliament (Budapest & Bucharest) and 1st of December, 1918 Romanian Union Resolution deputy Nicolae Serban de Voila, PhD. ​

Between 2000 and 2004, Amala handled various high-profile, high-stake civil, business and criminal litigation cases as associate with court trial master of the Bucharest Bar, a highly reputed trial attorney for prime ministers, judges, prosecutors, police, military and intelligence officers, journalists, major media, real-estate, industrial, banking, financing, trade and other national and international business and capital concerns in Romania.

For almost five years, since February 2004, as senior partner and founder of Mararu & Mararu SCA, Amala served as outside legal counsel for the General Union of Industrialists of Romania 1903 (UGIR-1903), the biggest Romanian Business Confederation encompassing over 80% of the industry and business employers in Romania, including as UGIR-1903's representative in the Social Dialogue Committees with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Labour.
